The membership-based business as it relates to brick-and-mortar stores in health, wellness, fitness, beauty, relaxation industry can be a difficult business to own or manage, but with my time-tested methods, I can help to ease the burden of building your membership numbers.
From studying sales and selling over the last couple decades, I realized that even though I was a good Leader and had happy employees for the Spas I managed, my forte is training a team in how to sell Memberships. When managing each location, we consistently gained new members every week and every month. When many Spas and/or membership-based franchises are struggling to stay ahead of attrition in this market, I was able to develop a team of consistently high performers. Not only did I to earn really nice quarterly bonuses, I even won a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico TWICE for my part in growing our Spa numbers.
Sales and people buying things they need and want is what keeps the economy afloat, and the membership-based business model is one of those industries that relies on customers loving what products and services these companies offer so much that they're willing to commit to regular monthly charges every month in order to enjoy reduced rates and other perks of membership. And because this industry is constantly adding more choices, options, and competitors all these types of businesses need a good sales team working for them – whether it's selling Relaxation, Hair Removal, Lash Extensions, Tanning, Chiropractic, Skin Care, Red Light Therapy, Fitness, Yoga, Stretch studios, Pilates, Massage, Hydro/Hydra Therapy etc. etc.
One of the best things to happen if you're an Owner or Manager of one of these types of businesses is for a person to either walk in and ask about your membership OR finish with their service and come up to the checkout and say: "Tell me about your membership program. I want to sign up " but that doesn't happen all that often. So that means you need a good team of sales people to close those membership sales. But did you k now there are very specific things that can be done before a prospect even comes in for their first service at your business that will "up the ante" for them wanting to sign up with a amembership? Yep!!! And the system that I developed because of studying sales, selling and interpersonal relationships is the key to closing more sales FASTER. When I say "FASTER", it means that your team can be trained to sell in a way that helps your business stay ahead of all the membership cancellations coming in. It happnes. It's the nature of this type of business.
I do believe anyone can be taught to sell (and become a top performer too). They just have to be willing to tweak a few things. I'm proud of what I accomplished for the Spas I worked for due to the sales training I developed, and I can help your team too!
